Dawn’s passion for design and entrepreneurship admittedly comes from her family.  She grew up surrounded by the entrepreneurial mindset and home building.  With many childhood memories of climbing scaffolding (her own personal monkey bars), working onsite, and running from showroom to showroom helping select finishes.  It’s no wonder Dawn continued on into the world of interior design.

 

Just as any entrepreneur it’s been a journey of learning and many wonderful experiences.  A cherished piece of Dawn’s history was her time within “Hollywood North”.  After finishing her Interior Design education she found herself working alongside some incredibly talented production designers and artists within the art department.  Through the years of working on various productions from mini-series to major feature films; she may have crossed paths with a few stars as well.  No biggie right?!  She has some amusing moments she could share.  Just ask her.

 

Throughout those years she filtered in select design projects, and continued adding to her education.  Not surprisingly she just hasn’t been able to leave the film and television world behind.  So you will still find Dawn on small productions and commercial shoots working away on set.  Telling stories through design.

 

As it does, the entrepreneurial spirit continued to stir.  Driving Dawn Fisher Design to focus on interior design projects and home staging.  After residing as the 2020 RESA Kitchener-Waterloo Chapter (Real Estate Staging Association) President she is honoured to have been elected as the 2021 RESA Ontario President.
